I have a TZ 18 with 400 Hrs on it which equipped with front loader & backhoe. Also have a belly deck on it. I can run the machine with the mower going in a stationary position [meaning not cutting grass] & there's no hydraulic leaking.
Once I'm cutting, I find fluid coating the rear chasis but can't determine the source of the leak.

I did find the lower filter loose a few weeks back & tightened it and the problem seemed to had gone away. But then began again. My guess is I may have overtightened the filter and compressed the gasket to the point where the fluid would spray thru once pressure & heat maxed while cutting. Thing is, the leak is literally not visible. Checked all bolts on the housings, connections & hoses and they're dry.

I just changed both Hydraulic filters but now am waiting for grass to grow to be able to cut with a load. In the meanwhile, anyone have any ideas what can cause the problem?

When you raise the mower deck does it make contact with the hydraulic filter? You may need to adjust the up stop gap on the mower.
