I just completed this project, we had built a horse riding arena and had sticker shock when we priced arena maintainers. So we dug around, found scrap steel and $60.00 later this is what we came up with.

Looks good, i have been thinking about trying a rotating harrow like the King Kutter one but your looks much more straight forward and will be one to add to my list.

good job, too bad it is green :D :D

Looks great! I like how you have the spring load on the level bar and roller. It looks like its back far enough to give a decent landplane effect.

Mahana79 - I had a rotary harrow that I used in my sand arena, but all it was good for was deep sand and nothing else. I finally broke down and bought a TR3 which works in almost everything but costs alot. If I had the time (and talent) I'd build one like Eddie built.

Welcome EddieP , nice to have new, talented members. See your profile lists a FEL Disk , and boom pole forks. How about a couple pics of each.

Really nice work on your new implement.

I do have a 6' rear roller for a pulverizer, it is a very heavy one. I do not need it, it may make a good addition for this type of project.

the roller on the back works as a guage wheel and packs down some of the fluff the teeth leave. i would think the pulverizer would work great..

Eddie,
Great first post and welcome to the forum.
That is a beautiful job of fabricating and paint. It looks great.
It's obvious you are very handy around machinery and making things.
Excellent price too.
Thanks for sharing.
