Spark plug wire cap repair

I have a JD 445 that has a spark plug wire cap that keeps falling off the plug. Should I try to crimp the cap ring for a tighter fit or do I need to replace the cap? If I can replace just the cap, how does it attach to the wire? This spark plug wire runs from the plug to a "electrical coil" per the JD parts catalog.

I think that I would replace the wire rather than risk buggering up the old one.
