Joined up to research tractors and small no till planters ...used not new ...50-60 HP range 4wd due to hills ....and the no till planter small and simple ....2 row w/ fertilizer ....have 200+ AC of hardwoods and food plot 25 AC ...presently using tillage and Van Brunt drill and Ford 309 planter pulled by a 1720 Ford... but as I am getting long of tooth I need to get out of tillage as well as gain the no till advantages ...especially the hill plots ...SO ...going to try to figure out what the LEAST trouble free equipment gets me where I want to go for the least out lay as the farm is a hunting spot and keeps me out of the bars but barely pays taxes,Insurance and upkeep ...10 years out for a full bore timber harvest so the equipment will be out of pocket.

Setting on bar stool one has very little to show for it at end of day..month..year,path your taking yes will be work but you'll have something nice in the end. :thumbsup:

I live in Murphysboro not too far from you. On the way to Delta today I saw a 4 row John Deere planter setup on 30" rows and no till coulters in Wolf Lake, IL right on route 3 just north of the church on the east side of the road.
I'm not sure who owns it and it didn't have a number or sign on it.
I thought of you when I saw it, I saw your post yesterday and waited to find one before posting. I know a guy who will likely know who has it for sale.
