Tractor
NX4510H with backhoe and FEL
Finally completed, signed, and handed over a deposit to seal the deal today. Tractor is a 2018 NX4510H with FEL, backhoe, canopy, filled tires, and free 50 hour service including no charge for pickup and delivery. Not in a hurry to get it and told dealer we will complete the deal in October/November. That will give me time to find a box blade as well.
It will be an interesting next 12 months as my tractor and backhoe experience is zero! LOL.

True, but remember with the ability to do more and bigger projects, more and bigger projects will present themselves.

Congrats Randy! You've had quite a journey from May - you started with Kioti and ended up going full circle right back to them. I hope you have great success with your new NX tractor and yes, we are all nuts, lol.

Congrats again.

Lucky to be starting out with a machine such as this! Don't hesitate to ask questions.

Thanks. It was a well thought out circle.

I liked the Mahindra 38 hp version but the sitting position absolutely sucked. And they had nothing in the 45 hp range with the auto trannie.

Bransons were nice and priced right. But was concerned the one dealer around me might not be here in a couple of years. Plus it was at least a 20 minute procedure to remove or reattach the back hoe according to the dealer.

Kubota L series was very nice and a good local dealer. But I did not think they were worth another $4,000 over the Kioti.

The Kioti ended up having the right combination of price, ease of removing/reattaching the back hoe, quick release FEL, and a dealer who was close and seemed to be highly reputable.

You can only learn so much before deciding on your first tractor and in the end it is as just as important what your gut tells you.

Hi Randy,

Congrats on your new purchase!

This is a copy/paste of my response to another thread on the forum regarding two issues with my new NX including the mounting bracket and hardware for the KB2485 backhoe, as well as the regen system. This is not a rant just a friendly heads up on an issue I have experienced.

Chat with your Kioti dealer about a major issue with the backhoe, specifically the rear mounting bracket and the associated mounting hardware. Currently the rear main bracket is an "L" shape that mounts both to the underside of the rear axle housing as well as to the bolt bosses for the PTO shield. Kioti is having a problem with that bracket angle being welded obtuse to the mounting angle. It's not sitting flush to both plains leaving a gap between the pto boss surface and the bracket. The bolt package for the bracket is also wrong. The bolts are not long enough. Kioti didnt take into account the thickness of the bracket when sizing the length of the bolts in the mounting kit.

Without divulging too much info, I found this information out painfully hard.

Currently, Kioti is having some computer issues with the regen system. Apparently, with the 2018 model, there is a CPU change for the emissions program causing the computer to think a regen is necessary when it's not. It forces the motor into limp mode until you manually regen. My tech is working with corporate on this issue. My machine went into limp mode 4 times by 40 hours and it wouldn't correct until i performed a manual regen at 40 minutes each time.

Regardless of hiccups, the NX is a nice tractor line.

I experienced a very unfortunate scenario but my dealer has been great dealing with my issue. They are really a great group of guys. Kioti has warrantied all damages, and from what I understand, this sparked a nation wide recall on the bracket and a rework on the hardware kit. But since this incident is fairly recent be sure to bring this issue to your dealer's attention just in case.

Fantastic new tractor there Randy... Suggestion - - obtain a copy of the operators manual and read it cover to cover while you wait. A world of good info in those manuals.

You have made a wise decision - going with that size tractor to start with

Are you suggesting that all new 2018 Kiotis have this issue with the back hoe mounting system?
Do you have any photos so I can understand this better?
