I have been looking at different solenoid valves for a 3rd function front remote. this valve will be mounted, unprotected to weather when in use, stored under roof otherwise. The valve has 3 types of connections, conduit box, din connector, and deutsch connector. What are the differences? Anyone have a favorite, and why?

For a one off application I don't see where it would matter much. If you want to unplug it I would choose one of the pin and socket models. Either of these is very popular. If you are running the wires in a flexible conduit the box would be the way to go. Really think it is a "take your pick" choice.

For weather exposed application, the deutsch connector is the most weather resistant design.

Deutch connectors are generally superior & more compact than Metripack or the older Weatherpack ones. You pay for it on the plug parts & on the crimper dearly though.
