Deere 5065e MFWD
My tractor is 45 miles away at my farm. Can anyone tell me the wheel nut sizes (wheel to hub and dish to wheel) so that I can take correct hardware with me next trip to do the 10 hour torque check? Also, are they metric or English sizes. Another member advised a 12 inch extension and 1 inch diameter drive. Will a 3/4 inch drive deliver 400 ft-lbs? Also the same info for 553 loader bolts. I believe there are 7 bolts per side on loader.

All the nut/bolt sizes are readily available for free on JDparts.com. Good quality 3/4" breaker bar/sockets will handle 400 ft #s

It would help not to be so vague about what tractor you have. 50xx and listing just "Deere" in your profile is pretty vague.
That said, bolts/nuts are metric (unless you have an old 5020, but that would not use a 553 loader), 24mm & 30mm. I think the loader will be the same sizes.
If you can put 200lbs of force on a 24" breaker bar you can deliver 400lbs or torque.

It is a good thing that you are checking these torques

Sorry, I joined before purchasing to learn from you guys. I need to update my profile. I wasn't thinking when I put 50XX because I realize now that can include the 5083 and up size tractors. I was only considering 5045 thru 5075 and I know the nuts are the same for them. I would like to know what the wheel nut sizes are if you know. My farm is 45 miles away and I might have to drive there and back just to see what sizes I need to buy. Thanks for any advice

Does anyone know if the wheel nuts for hub and rim are any LARGER than 32mm or 1 1/4 inches for 5065e? I have sockets that large and am curious if I need any larger. I will not have a chance to see until next farm trip this Friday and would like to re-torque wheel nuts this week. Thanks

Here's some spec's on the rear wheel hardware.

No, not larger. Rear wheel disc to axle 30mm. disc to wheel 24mm. Front disc to axle also 24mm.

You will only need 24mm and 30mm sockets. Fronts are 24mm, disc to hub and disc to wheel. Rears are 24mm disc to wheel and 30mm disc to axle.

Completed re-torquing wheel nuts and 553 loader bolts last Friday after 10 hrs on new 5065e. None of the wheel nuts were loose. However, all 4 (per side) of the 30mm rear bolts needed tightening. The bolts rotated about 90 degrees. Of the 3 (per side) smaller, front (24mm) bolts, 1 needed tightening on one side and 2 on the other. I used a 3/4 inch drive torque wrench good to 600 ft-lbs. The 30mm loader bolts require 400. In order to get the socket on the upper bolt of lower pair, on left side of tractor, I had to remove the step. Required removing about 8 bolts. I used a 1 3/16", 6 sided socket vs 30mm. It fits within 0.006" (larger ). Glad I checked bolts and nuts. I marked the loader bolts with black Sharpie permanent marker. If they rotate I will be able to tell visually.
