Tractor
Grand L3540 ,724 loader, bucket, grapple and now forks also! And just for OP.. a pool!
So with a lot of urging from folks here, and especially Island Tractor who is very willing to spend my money:laughing::D I called Agrisupply a week ago Monday and ordered a 73" Caroni flail mower. Very excited to try out this new to me device, only ever before used rotary cutters(brush hogs) and finish mowers, never tried a flail before.
Anyway.. the nice man that took my order said I should have it at the end of the week... last week. Come Saturday and no mower, and the payment had not yet been processed, I gave them a call... much to my shagrin they tell me it had not yet left the lot.. What the heck??!!!! He assured me they would try to get it out the beginning of the week... Got an email Monday it had been shipped.. YAY.. the email stated they would call to let me know when it would be arriving. So I'm driving home from Atlanta (4 hour trip)on Wednesday I get a call, the truck is in my driveway!! Ooops, they forgot to call to let me know he was going to be there that day.. not too bad, he says he had some other drops in the area and could be back the next day.. perfect I was to be home all day.
So the truck shows up, I get the trusty Kubota out with some chains to unload my new toy and head out to the end of my driveway. He opens the back of the truck and there is my shipment from Agrisupply.. a pallet with a set of 3 point forks, and a box of misc parts, a gearbox, some rippers for a box blade and some stuff I didn't recognize. The packing slip on the box was clearly marked 73" Caroni flail mower and a free key chain! Ya baby spend 2 grand and get a free key chain.. It however was not there either!
Called Agrisupply from the back of the truck, and they assure me my mower will go out the next day.. today.. Hmmm.. the saga continues..

Stay tuned!

Hmmm..... they didn't let you keep the initial delivery of things? LOL I would have held it hostage....until the mower shows up, without scratches / dents, with PTO shaft and manuals,

Cheers

In no way was I going to take it off the truck, they might have considered my mower delivered at that point!

Hope A.S. Does better for you on your order! I have ordered from them multiple times and everything went smoothly. I always remind them to tell the freight lines to call me the day ahead of delivery. I have had a 8' Caroni flail for a year now and love it. I would advise ordering in some better spare belts as soon as possible. The belts that come on the Caroni are mediocre at best and start to come apart after a few hours, at least in my case, and we're dissapointing from the start. Another point.....3-4 of the grease fittings are under the side cover so if you mow with no one else around and no vines present you may want to take it off. I know some would consider this dangerous but it is a PITA removing the cover to grease every time you use the unit. Caroni needs a fix for this Like the grease tube extensions on their largest estate mower. And no... wing nuts on the bolts will not work. Been there, tried that ! :)

I've always had great service when ordering from them, hope they get back on track and get this taken care of for you.

Somewhere there is a guy who ordered $500 worth of plow edges keeping his mouth shut about a new mower.

I am darn near all for picking up something as local as I can get it so bad shipments don't happen. I like to take road trips at times just to look at things. Just the way my schedule works out. It's not a bad gig.

That's the way to do it if you can fit it in your schedule and carry it.
When I bought my 8" Jinma chipper I swung by a place in North Carolina to pick it up. Then I "swung by" Agrisupply in Petersburg, Va and picked up a PHD plus two augers, all told I went about 60 miles off my shortest route and probably saved several hundred at least in delivery charges. Plus I got to pick which items I wanted.

So I get a phone call from the head guy at the agrisupply today ,distributer that sends all the stuff out ,he called to apologize for the screw up. Said the new one was going out today and that he was going to wave the shipping charges since the shipping was so screwed up.I hadn't called and thrown a fit or anything... he started this all on his own... kudos to agrisupply!!

So Monday-Tuesday maybe.
