WOW that is something, years ago I toured a gas line pumping station and they used large engines. The oil filter was the size of a 50gal barrel. Pistons were also huge, I never heard it run. But this one was only 20ft long and impressive.
As far as moving these, I think these engines would be built on site as they do with large earthmoving equipment.

Wow, it would have to be built inside the ship, or where the ship will be built wouldn't it? How do you move a 2300ton engine that's bigger than most townhouses?
