Just found an ad for a new front snow blade with power angle.Ad says it fits 4100/4200, price is very reasonable in my opinion $800.00. Does anyone out there have any first hand knowledge as to whether it will mount right up to my 4115?

I would suggest you get the Quick Hitch bracket part number from the seller and either check Deere's website or call your dealer to verify the part is compatible. My experience is that most every JD CUT and garden tractor model has its own Quick Hitch attachment bracket and the blades are universal. My first guess is it is NOT compatible across the 4100 and 4200 as advertised (different frame configurations and hose length), but that it MIGHT be the Quick Hitch you need if it is compatible with the 4100. The seller should be able to get a number from the bracket or his paperwork.

A new set-up from Deere should run you a little under $1,000. Keep in mind that your 4115 might be just a bit wider than the plowed path of a 54" blade fully angled to one side or the other. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Some folks have gone with a Curtis Loader Plow Blade or fashioned their own based on the Curtis principles. It's a shame JD doesn't make a 60-72" blade for the 4110-4115

I would suspect that the 4100 and 4115 would have the same mounting. I am pretty sure that the 4200 is different. Maybe the seller has one of each?

At that price, it should include the tilt/angle mount and the front hitch.

Besides the tilt/angle quick-tatch mount, you need the front hitch that hooks on where the front of the MMM normally connects.

If you don't already have the spot where the MMM and front hitch connect, you will also need the front hitch mount. If you have the front grill gaurd that comes with the FEL, you should already have the front hitch mount as well.

If you also get the mid-to-front drive shaft and bearing kit, you will be halfway to having everything you need to also put on a front blower as well.

I have the 54" blade on my 4100 and I wish it was wider for moving snow. Thinking about adding some side wings to it.

Deere did offer a front blade for the 4200 but for some reason the 4210 is the only model in the 4000-Ten series that cannot be fitted with a JD front blade, I wondered why. Not that I wanted one, but it seemed odd it wasn't available.
