Snow snow blade compatability

Hey everybody, I'm looking for info and I've been told this the place. I've been using a 2001 JD 225GT with a manual lift 42" snow blade but, of late, at 71 yrs old with (Arthritis) it's a pain to say the least. So, I purchased a 2011 X530 with Hydro lift. Does anyone know if I can utilize the aforementioned blade (will it fit) on my new tractor, have to be modified, if so how? Or do I need to replace? Any info or assistance will surely be appreciated big-time............lg

As we discussed before, you will likely have to modify the old blade and the new tractor to fit.
Best and easiest (except on the billfold) is to get the blade that fits the X530 and sell the old blade.

Or go to a local welder and discuss what he/she could do for you. I would expect it to cost more than new but fitting the old blade to the new hitch may not be too difficult. Apparently you don't see it as something straight-forward and easy to do.

Without knowing exactly what you are trying to fit together, and because there are many things to consider, telling you how to do it is not possible.
Post some pics of the blade and of the parts you are getting with the X530 (I assume at least the front hitch with lift) then we could take a stab at helping you out.
