Oil & Fuel snap ring in hydraulic oil....

Hello all,

I just "bought the farm" (ha) literally just bought a 5 acre farm and picked up a very lightly used 2006 Kioti CK20HST with a 60" mid mower deck. Had about 325 hours on the clock and so I did a complete service on all the fluids and filters. Everything runs fine with the exception of the Hydro pedal a little sticky/slow to return to neutral. BUT there were the remains of a broken snap ring stuck to the hydro magnetic drain plug!?!?

Anyone have any ideas or had something similar?

Some members have posted finding a pin, clip, or something during their first service. It might have been dropped or broken during assembley. A partial piece makes it even harder to tell where it may have come from. I guess without taking it apart to see the insides, you just have to hope it was dropped. If the piece is big enough, a dealer might be able to tell if it is even something from the trans area.

Thanks. That's what I am hoping for. The complete snap ring was there, albeit in 4 pieces.

Good advice victor I would not have thought to bring the pieces to the dealer. I usually spend weeks fighting through issues myself, which accomplishes little unless I get lucky.

Another thought is to shoot a picture and post, I bet there are guys here who might have a strong guess.
