I've noticed for awhile a bad smell of mildew in the air conditioner and heater. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there filters that need to be changed ?

Never had a mildew smell in my machine, but I did have dead mouse smell for the latter half of the summer to just recently. At first I thought one crawled up into the overhead space of the cab roof but while doing some cleaning out, I found a dried out mouse behind the seat. Guess I should clean out my cab a little more often.

Don't have a Kioti but most cabs have filters. Mine has one on each side. They are outside the cab for fresh air to get pulled through. Its very possible in cold weather for moisture to get pulled in the filter. With proper conditions mold / mildew could form on the filters. Check your owners manual for the location and check them.

Pop off the fiberglass roof and enjoy the hours of exploration that await you! Chances are that you have a moisture issue in the HVAC system. Any cracks in the roof?
Be careful as you remove it, there are wire connectors for the lights that you have to reach up under and detach. Having a helper reduces your chances of falling off and busting your kiester.

You sure it's mildew? I've had, and suspect I may still have, a small coolant leak in the roof. My dealer took care of it last winter, but I think I can still smell it. It only happens if the heat is set to full hot and you can only have it set there for a few minutes before your tractor turns into a sweat lodge, even in the dead of winter.
