Smaller tractor with a mid mount mower

My cousin-in-law is shopping for a smaller tractor to complement his MF (30+ HP??) The larger tractor's weight and industrial tires are digging into the yard at his new home a little too aggressively for general landscaping and mowing.

He likes my Kioti CK20HST but is interested in a machine of that size with a mid PTO.

Any recommendations?

This is where some companies have spent the time and money to make things fit more exact applications.

The Kubota's B-series fit this application and job to a T with there mid mount versatility and weight that is right for on lawns to reduce tearing of the turf or indenting it from being to heavy.

I'd be looking at a B-2620 Kubota to build from!

I would look into a riding mower for the lawn and keep the tractors for the heavier work.

Other options would be a Deere or kubota with mid pto options preferably with independent control. Deere 1026R, Kubota BX series .

I use a Deere x749 for mowing and landscaping with mid and rear pto, limited Cat 1 hitch . Very satisfied with it.

If he likes your ck20, then why not consider the bobcat equivalent ct122. Same tractor with the mmm option. The bota b's are nice. JD 1026r or x749.

Mahindra's new Max series will be out in January. It will be sized about half way between the Kioti CK20 and the Kubota BX series. It will have a full list of attachments and all compatable with each other.

You say to complement his MF (30+hp)
Is he looking to add another tractor??
Seems like if he was looking just to mow grass he would be better to get a lawn/garden tractor or Zero Turn Mower.
If he wants the diesel 4wd tractor. Tell him to check out the massey ferguson GC2400 or 2600

i have a kubota with the mid mount mower, it works great, but i really like the 3pt finish mower more, you can back into corners with the rear mount system, and you can't get close to corners with the mid mount mower: plus that mid mount mower is expensive..compared to picking up a good used 3pt rear finish mower, also harder to keep the gear box checked for grease etc.
