The blet on my mowing deck flops back and forth when engaged and it rubs against the other part of the belt that goes around the idler pulley.I thought it might be the tension spring maybe.Any ideas? The spring seems tight but I know it takes alot of pressure to hold the belt in place too. It's a 60" MMM.The belt has about 300 hrs on it.I know belts are expensive and I would like to keep this one as long as I can.

Thanks, Donny

good question. I am not familar with the B series decks but on the BX, The shaft On mine for belt tensioner was bone dry the first year due to plugged zerk. I took it off and cleaned it and greased the shaft manually and reinstalled. I was able to get grease in the shaft this time and the belt seems to be held in more smoothly when running.

Have you inspected the belt inch by inch for flat spots ? or narrower areas then rest ?
