I have a 2305 with 85 hours on it and the front tire (R4) keeps going flat. It is slowly getting worse and I must fill it with air more frequently.

My dealer took a look at it and said they took the tire off the rim cleaned it and applied some type of bead seal. This didnt work and it still went flat again.

He now tells me they will put a tube in the tire as a solution.

I really dont know much about this but it soounds like he is just wanting to put a band aid on the problem.

Am I worried about it for nothing???

Anyone with tire knowledge please give your opinion.

Thanks...

One word on leaking tires..........SLIME! Slime it and I would say that will take care of the problem without a tube.

A tube is a valid fix. You might want him to examine the rim closely to make sure there aren't any spots that could leak. Also check the valve to make sure the pin is seated. You can check it fairly easily with a little soapy water or for you country boys a little spit on the valve.

The surest way to check it is in a barrel of water or for your country boys a good old pond.
