After the tractor sits for a few days, turning the ignition switch fails to send power to the relays. Playing with it (ie - jiggling and switching on and off )improves the connections and it will eventually operate normally - except by jiggling, I can still find a dead spot that shuts down the tractor. Is someting loose? Does it need asquirt of WD 40? Anyone else have this issue?

I would check to make sure the wires going into the ignition switch are plugged in good. If so I would replace the switch before it leaves you walking. my 2 cents

new switch is a 40 dollar part and you will spend more time unpacking the new one than installing it. I replaced mine about 3 months ago. Exact same problem.

Mine was behaving this way. I unhooked the battery and squirtted some brake cleaner into the switch through the key hole. Let it dry for several minutes. Then squirtted in silicon lubricant. Haven't had a problem since. Worked great. No disassemlby required.

Thanks guys,

I'm hoping to have some time Sunday afternoon to look at it. I'll probably try the brake cleaner trick first, but if the switch is that easy to replace and that inexpensive - I'll probably order one.
