I'm getting to know my D1550FD. One of the things I immediately noticed was the sloppiness of the three-point arm lift lever (not the arms, but the control lever next to the seat). There is also no discernible detent for the neutral position. I've read the operator's manual and service manual and they don't mention any means of adjusting the control lever tension. The only adjustment I see is for the "return to neutral" rod (which also doesn't function). The diagrams show the control lever attached directly to what appears to be an internal valve shaft. The only tension I can see in that sort of setup is replacement of O-rings along that internal shaft, and those would wear rather quickly.

What am I missing? This is a definite safety issue in that if I don't hold my mouth just right, the implements drop or rise quickly.

Thanks for your response.
