the kb's are 550-650$
is it worth the price differance

There is one in every crowd and I guess it's my turn today! It really depends on conditions. If you have a lot of stones tree roots and other debris it might be worth the extra money for the slip clutch!

Neither slip clutch or shear pins will protect if not not maintained!!!!

We see gear boxes that have slip clutches as well as shear pins that are ruined. The cause of is lack of maintenance. Slip clutches or shear pins will set up and not release and cause damage to the gear box.

I just got a new Rhino EC-60 With sheer pin. A foot wider than recomended
by the B2710 operators manual but roughly 500 lbs. the recomended weight. I have not had a chance to check it out yet, waiting for the snow to melt. Hitting a rock or two is inevatable. would it be a good idea to put a lighter sheer bolt in ???
Thanks,
Steve
