I have been looking at buying a sleeve hitch for a while. I have a John Deere 345 and a 320. I want to get a 42" Brinley blade and a ripper and whatever else after that. I have been looking at the Johnny Products electric sleeve hitch but I also seen a hydraulic sleeve hitch pop up for sale that is made for the 320. I have been weighing the pros and cons to each. I like the idea of a hydraulic sleeve hitch but it has no down pressure and I cant use it with the deck or front blade.
I could probably get the hydraulic sleeve hitch for $400 plus shipping, its new and has never been used. The JP sleeve hitch will cost $900 and I get down pressure and can run other attachments with it but I have to run wiring to the battery and I cant help but think about the extra work load the stator will have on it.
Now that I have 2 GT's I'm not too concerned about not being able to run other attachments at the same time but down pressure is my concern. The 320 will be the one using the sleeve hitch. Will a little weight make up for the lack of down pressure?

Applying down pressure on an implement attached to a relatively lightweight 2WD tractor may cause loss of traction. You would have to add considerable weight to compensate.
