Here is the only pic I have of A front mount mower I built for A buddys 1840 case uniloader.Started with A $200 3pt king cutter.I turned the gear box to face the rear & mounted A hydraulic motor from surplus center.We built the quiktach mount plate out of 3/8.It's not done in this pic, I added A pto cover made from 6" pvc pipe.He's used it one full season to mow road ditches & clear brush.Next project is A front sickle mower for the same guy.I will take & post pics as I go.

And I thought compact tractor was the only way to go for versatility. I'm learnin there isn't much you can't do with a skidsteer.I'll be interested in the sickle bar project, I drug an old model 120 NH out the brush on my neighbors lot and fixed it to mow my food plot. I have about 300 bucks in it.

I would like that, I was going to mount my hydraulic motor to my backing plate something like skidsteersolutions.com does but I like your idea. This is their idea
There really is nothing that compares to our Powered 3-Point adaptors
I could use any 3 PT attachment with that

Yes but the big plus is, it will run 3 PT stuff not just one, I fell in love with this one

Interesting concept. I have two thoughts though, which is more than I can usually claim to have at one time.

1. Does it matter that instead of pulling that mower deck, which is the way it was designed, it is now being pushed against those trailing casters?

2. My experience with skid steers, limited as it may, is that when they turn they tend to "skid" their tires, thus possibly doing damage to the turf. I had to do some serious repair on the grass at one of my homes because some skid steer jocky thought it was cool to whip that puppy around spinning the tires, just ripped the heck out of the lawn . . . took months to settle with the contractor. Then I suppose this is really not the type of implement you would use on a regular lawn type yard, but more for a pasture where the grass is more course and left longer.

Pretty creative anyway you look at it. Am certainly interested in seeing more pics.
