Anyone know where I can find one? I'm assuming this part is specific to the exact model of loader I have. There isn't a standard spacing for the pins or anything is there? Thanks.

Why do you want one?

The SSQA will be heavy and space the bucket/attachment about 4" further out, both of which will reduce your lift capacity.

The JDQA you have is lighter, and its also VERY easy to use. There are three basic things you can use on your loader:

A bucket
A grapple
A set of forks

All of these are readily available in the JDQA.

I have friends who have skid steers. With a universal skid steer adapter I can borrow attachments. I figure it is also cheaper to buy the attachments and I get a lot more manufacturers to pick from. And if I get a skidsteer or a new tractor someday I will be able to use any that I buy. The reduction in lift is a downside but I think the upsides make it worth it.

There is no Horst dealer near me and it looks like they sell through dealers. Anyone have any experience with this place?

The two biggest problems with JD QA devices is they are proprietary so you can only shop for attachments at the JD store, and Deere can't even use the same QA style on differing series of loaders. A 300 series loader, 500 series loader, and 700 series loader all use a different QA device so you need a dedicated set of attachments for each loader. My neighbor experienced this, but still believes Deere is the only tractor built. Talk about marketing......

Most of the current implements sold today have 2 pins at the bottom so they will work with the 200, 300, 400, and 500 loaders (see picture below of my grapple). I am not familiar with the 700 series...

There are other sources for things now then JD also...My grapple is from Markham-they offer the JDQA, as does Everything attachments.com and Horst Welding.

Borrow what? That is my question...what will work on a SSL and your tractor? Most SSL implement are to heavy to be effective on you CUT.

I could certainly argue that some of those can't effectively be used on a machine with the 430 loader like the OP has...but I won't.:D

Effectiveness is relative. I have happy customers with these attachments in use on Class III New Holland Compacts. Maybe Deere's aren't suitable for these uses......

Everything is in scale. The round bale spike is probably the most troublesome thought of any attachment I listed.
