Does anyone know the general angle to weld/attach the quick attachment plate onto the back side of a homemade attachment? I知 the process of planning out and cutting metal for couple skid steer attachments, it wandering the correct 澱ack angle the plate needs to be welded at. I see the large brand companies have a general angle they all put the plate at & it works for all skid steers. I知 not finding this info online. Might end up having to take an angle finder to dealer with me to check them if no one here knows the answer. Thanks

Sorry I dont remember the angle off hand. If you manage to find a drawing with tolerances please post them. I used my other implements and SS mount as my guide. Measure more than one implement as there is some variation in dimensions. After you measure it you will find its a pretty standard measurement.

Pay attention to the bottom plate angle and quick attach locking pin location as it will affect how easily your implement connects/disconnects. I made up several 8 or 10 inch wide plates at the time out of 1/4 steel plate and had them bend up the bottoms on a press brake. The tops I just tach welded on using the tractor SS mount as the jig.

That drawing is great, but I知 not seeing where it tells what angle the whole plate needs to be mounted to the attachment at. If looking at mostly all skid steer attachments, they have the plate welded at an angle. That痴 the angle I知 trying to find. That all might vary a little between brands, but should be close.

I think that angle the plate is attached to the implement is arbitrary and depends on your implement and tractor geometry. Do what makes sense for your implement and on where you need the angles to be at on your Tractor for max/min and nominal boom positions.

I must have misunderstood your question. Your actually looking for the angle that the qa plate attaches to a plow, rake, bucket, etc? Simple answer is 45 degrees. But like Mikester says, it kinda depends on what it is. A set of forks would be closer to 90. A bucket you would want about 45 so you get the full roll back and dump/curl.

My two bobcat buckets are at 15 deg.

There is no standard angle that I know of, but have read a lot of posts wishing for more on forks. You might want more than this:

You can customize it for your equipment.

I sure wished my ssqa to 3pt adaptor had some extra rollback built into it as it is just straight.
