Rear Blade skid shoes for rear blade

I just purchased a landpride 72" RB for my B3030 I thought skid shoes would be a good add on, I have about 600' of driveways half paved half gravel. The dealer quoted 150 dollars his price. Anyone have another source or alternative or is that a good price?

B3030 Kubota, 403 Loader, 72"MMM, 60"Box Scraper, 72"RB.

I bought a pair of skid shoes for my 6' King Kutter Rear Blade for $40.00 at Valu-Bilt. I ordered online at:

They are a generic bolt on. I haven't installed them it.

You might also check your local TSC store. I believe at one time they had snow plow skids, could be adapted to do the same thing.

I decided to go with guage wheels for my woods rb72. I have a long driveway with item 4 and was told the skid shoes will tear it up if the ground isn't frozen. With the guage wheels, I can just set them at the disired height and go without even looking back.

The part number for the RB1572 skid shoes is 301-138A. My local LP dealer had given me a price of $143.00.

As others have mentioned, a guage wheel or wheels would be better. LP doesn't offer a guage wheel kit on the RB1572 so you would need to make something.

I had never heard of the Valu-Bilt site before, it's pretty cool.

I have a Woods rb72 and fashioned some gauge wheels for mine too. Works great. Do you ever "float" the horizontal adjustment by plowing snow with the pin completely out?

The wheels are a must to do it, but it works pretty well on snow.

for the feedback! I called Valu-Thanks Bilt they didn't have any instock but have some on the way that's a good price, But I want to see if I can get a print or photo first. I also called another landpride dealer, they priced at 160 dollars, by the way thanks for the Landpride Parts # and link. The landpride looks as though it would tear up gravel if wasn't frozen. Your right the RB1572 doesn't take gauge wheel. Fabrication of a gauge wheel may be the choice, I have an array of wheels around after my wifes family closed their feed business. If any of you that replied can send a pic. or e-mail I'd be appreciative. Bottom line I should have shopped instead of leaving it up to the dealer, I didn't question options. Viewing the landpride link, I imagined them differently, looking more like a runner on a sled thinking they would radius at the front. This a great forum I'm learning quite a bit, wish I had the need for a tractor when I was 20.

How much did your Landpride blade cost?
I'm looking for a good heavy one, I would prefer a 7' but a 6' will work.

The Landpride RB15 cost 425, when I called the dealer I just said send a 6' blade without schooling up on features. The 15 series quoted at up to 40 horsepower. Landpride has a tilt in this weight also. The next grade up is the RB 25 and has optional gauge wheel and is rake adaptable.
