I need to replace one of the rear wheels on my TC18 and NH wants $205 apiece. Same size skid wheels are about half the cost. How much of a difference is there between the skid wheel and the tractor wheel? Can I swap them out? What do I need to look for...

Thanks

If they are the same size. The skid loader tire is usually a heavier tire. I think it should work.

if you have the optional 4x4 / MFWD for that model, you need to make sure you keep correct ratio of front tires to back tires. if fronts and back tires are out of ratio, you can do some costly damage to the drive system of the tractor.

my general blah of what is what...
tire = rubber piece
rim = metal center
wheel = rim and tire

pending on tire type (R1 / agriculture, R3 turf, R4 industrial) you may be stuck to a certain type of tire, due to rim width. normally you can swap R3 / R4's on the same rim. but R1's need a different rim.

I understand... the rim needs to be replaced. I have the R4 tires on it. The rim is rusting so I thought I'd replace it.

If the offset is OK then I would go for it...Skidders take more abuse than most tractors..

That sounds good. Guess I'll do some more measuring to make sure they're the same.
