kioti ck 4010 hst
We have a CK 4010 which I needed to use today and the instrument panel shows a single brake light condition ? The tractor only has 1 brake pedal, the brake lock / parking brake is not on.. The owners manual states this occurs when the interlock for 2 pedals is released.. I had to use the tractor since it's our only 4wd to get the trailer out of the pasture to use tomorrow.. I smelled something my nose didn't like so I could use some HELP.., I went to you tube but found nothing.. SO my next best bet is you guys..
Thank you..

my dk has that light. it only comes on when i physically flip the interlock lever off of engaging both brake petals. not sure where the switch is that tells the tractor that the lever is engaged or not.

Seems like your owners manual and grsthegreat are saying the exact same thing. I know absolutely nothing about ck4010 tractors, but I have been around tractors my whole life, owned maybe a dozen, and have never heard of a tractor with a single brake pedal. Not saying they don't exist, but it does seem to me a tractor with a single brake would be a step backward.

Perhaps your single brake pedal still has the lever interlock, that got flipped over?? Maybe call your dealer for advice?

Any description on the smell? (maybe like something burning?) Does the tractor perform normally?

Can you post a picture of the single brake pedal?

This sounds electrical. Rogue lights are usually caused by moisture/condensation in a wire harness plug. The CK10 HST Tractors are single Brake Pedal systems without a brake light switch. So...if your brake light is coming on, and you smell something unusual, you may have a harness plug condensation issue that is allowing power to be sent to the brake indicator, or a pinched harness allowing wires to cross. Start inspecting the electrical harnesses.

Hope this helps, electrical bugs are always a lot of fun,
