Simplicity Legacy/ MF 2925 Tranny Issue

I have the Massey Fergusson 2925 version of the Simplicity Legacy. Been having problems with after driving forward and letting off of the forward pedal the tractor will jerk and continue moving forward. Sometimes it will jerk 3 or 4 times before contiuing to move forward. After 15 to 20 seconds it will stop, sometimes.
I have tried adjusting the neutral stop and that seems to be OK. If it is up on jack stands it will not do this. Any thoughts? It will not do this if running in reverse

I would check the damper that is connected to the accelerator linkage.
I think I remember reading some time ago that it can cause jerking if that one is not working. It is basically a little shock absorber for the pedals.

I don't believe they are all that expensive.
If you have no other problems with the transmission I would start by replacing the damper.

I tried a new shock on the pedal linkage. Still did it, not quite as bad. As I was getting ready to jack up the rear, to replace a seal, I noticed a bolt sticking out from the axle housing where the housing bolts to the transaxle. It was about ready to fall out. All 12 bolts were loose(6 on each side). Can't believe I didn't notice that before. Tightened them all down and it works like a champ, just have to replace a leaking seal. I will be checking those bolts from now on.
