Hi all,
New to the site. I recently picked up a used but very clean Simplicity Coronet. It ran fine when I test-mowed but when I got it home it would shut off once the engine warmed up. I let it sit the first night and opened the garage the next morning to find the full fuel tank had completely leaked all over the garage floor.
I bought a Walbro LMK carb rebuild kit, fuel hose and a new fuel filter and replaced everything.
The next day it started right up and ran strong for approx. 30 minutes and then slowly bogged down. Once it cooled it started right up and mowed then again died and released all of the fuel. I have tried loosening the gas cap and it does not seem to make a difference. The spark plug is new and not fouled and the air filter is clean as well.
I am at a loss. I only paid $200 so if I have to haul it to the local dealer I wont be out much. I just cant bring myself to do that when it has to be something simple. It is not burning oil either. Thanks for any info from you more knowledgeable members!

Could you elaborate on "released all the fuel"? When it stops running, you should pull the plug and check for spark, then at least you will have a starting direction. Also, just because a plug is new doesn't mean it is good. I had a tiller that would run until it got hot and then shut off. It turned out to be the spark plug, it worked fine when cool, but would stop sparking when hot.

Hi Ken, thanks for the reply. It appears that when I start it first thing in the morning with fresh fuel, it fires right up and runs for approx 20-30 minutes. Then it starts to "bog" down and the PTO will disengage then it dies entirely. Sometime, all of the fuel will drain overnight and I just realized it is coming from the short section of hose that connects the carb to the engine block. Also, it shoots gas out of the muffler when starting while hot. I bought a new plug today and will install it tomorrow but I think that hose may be bad as well?
