Maybe I'm searching for the wrong thing but I can't find anyone that built their own 3 pt goose neck hitch. I have all the material I need but I'd like to see what others have done. I've seen pictures of the TSC one but am curious as to what else is out there. I'd like it to be beefy enough to move the cattle trailer with a few head in it and the dump trailer around the pasture.

Thanks for the tip on the chain, didn't think that!

I actually have 2 truck hitches to work with and a 3pt mount from an old Bush Hog that had a rotten deck.

In addition to my store bought 3 pt trailer/gooseneck mover, I also rigged one up for the bucket so I would not have to drop the 3pt mower and put on the 3pt gooseneck mover to mow under the GN. I got 2 pieces of 1/4" steel, 4x12 lenghth & width, drilled four 1/2" holes in the corners and a 1" hole in the center where the 2&5/8" ball goes, drilled matching holes in the top of the bucket, then sandwhiched the bucket with the 4x12 plates, and bolted it altogether. Works really great!

When using a 3 point hitch gooseneck mover, be careful if you are moving a horse trailer. The Tractor Roll bar and the front of the trailer don't do to well when one crunches the other when backing and it happens really quick.

Ask me how I know.

This one is home made. Used a catagory 1, 3 point bar with all the holes. A reciever that would have bolted on a bumper, some 2" square tubing and another short reciever tube facing up to hold the ball welded on the end. I need to cut it apart and make it fit in to my quick coupler. I didn't have one when I built this hitch.

Here is another one I built for a camp ground, It takes a catagory II, 3 point and a lot of weight on the front of the tractor. It will move a goose neck, fifth wheel or bumper pull. To move a goose neck you drop an adapter in to the fifth wheel hole and you have a 2 5/16 ball sticking up. The hydraulic cylinder helps keep the hitch level as needed. This is only used when the grounds are very soft and muddy and usually on a front wheel assist tractor over 100 hp. It sticks back so far so you can turn tighter with out getting the cab of the tractor in to the front of a fifth wheel camper (or stock trailer).

Something to be carfull of when using a loader bucket to move a trailer. A local guy was moving his goose neck stock trailer with a ball mounted on top of his skid steer bucket. While pushing it up hill it jumped off the ball and the front of the trailer came into the cab with him. Someone else came along many hours later and found him pinned in the roll cage. He had many broken body parts and lived through it.

Ok I'm done now

No horse trailers here, just cattle trailers but still something to keep an eye on! I built it this morning. I only tacked it all together. I'm waiting on my old man to finish the welding. I'll snag some pics sometime this week. Thanks for all th ideas guys!
