Put an new hydro pump in and have 47 hours on tractor since replacement. I put all new Kubota trans fluid in after I changed out the pump and a new filter. I changed the oil today and checked the trans fluid and it is super clean. After how many hours should I replace the trans fluid? When I changed the pump I purchased two filters and a 5 gallon bucket of Kubota UDT.....just don't want to change if not necessary. Tractor is operating flawlessly.

Do it when the owners manual says which is probably after 200 hours. Be a pure waste to change it now after such a recent change.

When I had to repair the dif lock on my B7800 I did another change in about 200 hrs and was really surprised at the amount of debris on the suction screen. That's what the screen's there for and it did it's job but I would have changed sooner if I had known there was that much junk in there.Peace of mind is a relative thing I guess.

at how many hours and for what reason did you have to change the pump? just curious. guessing that's neither an inexpensive or fun job.

i agree with the others, so long as the screen looks good and the fluid is clean i don't see any reason to change the fluid before the recommended (200 ?) hour mark. personally i'd likely change the filter and clean the screen at 50 hrs., as was done at new, in case of anything having been introduced by the new pump, the exchange process or the failure of the previous pump. cheap peace of mind.

My pump failed with 471 hours..i.chronicled some of the repair on this forum. Unfortunately it was out of warranty so i was on my own. Parts weren't too bad but I had to crack the tractor in half to get at it. Process took about a week spending varying amounts of time in my garage nightly.
