I already post this message in another tractor forum (tractorpoint) but I post it here too because I need to no if it is a good price or not? "I purchased my 2210 in April of this year. I didn't purchase the 210 loader because my dealer wanted $2,200 for it and would not cut me a better deal. I have had a few projects which could have justified the loader purchased earlier in the year but most of the project have been completed. I told the dealer if he got a 2210 in on a trade I would consider purchasing the 210 loader from him. Finally, I got the call from the dealer saying he has a 2210(with only 50 hours on it) being traded in for another tractor (I think a 3320) he says the other tractor will be in by November 11 or 12 and he would sell me the 210 loader for $1,500 plus $165 to install it or I could install it myself. Is $1,500 a good price or should I asked for a lower price and if the dealer doesn't agree should I walk? I have lived since April without a loader but I always love new toys. By the way, in most people opinion is the loader for these sub-CUT worth all the money?"

A loader is worth the money to me. Until I had a loader of my own, I didn't realize how many uses there were for it. Found the same excitement and increased number of jobs I could do when I purchased the forks for the loader.

Your post sounds just like what a friend I have goes through with about every purchase he makes. I'm not going to try to make a decision for you, as that is yours to make.

Wish you good luck. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
But sounds like your dealer is willing to help you out. He is cutting you a better deal but you are still questioning your decision. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I am not sure how I lived without a front end loader. I would go ahead and pull the trigger - the price seems fair.

I use the loader for just about everything. I have used to transplant bushes, dig dirt, stumps, gravel, counterweight for tiller, wheelbarrow, hoist for transmission, scaffold, and lately for deck demolition. I took down our old deck completely with the tractor and a chainsaw then hauled it to the burn pile.

Once you have a loader, you will ask yourself, why didn't I do this earlier?

I agree with the above posters, the loader is good for serious work right down to being used as a glorified wheelbarrow. Make sure you get the ballast box or have a BB with weights to counterballance the loader though. The 2210 can get upset pretty easy! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I have to chime in here and make a vote for getting the loader. Serveral years ago I had the X475 and no place to store a Fel. So I designed and built a bucket to attach to deere's front quick hitch. The quick hitch provided the lift and I used the other hydraulic circuit to do the dump. Anyway after building it during the summer months the bucket was on more than off. My wife was always finding projects for it and so were the neighbors.

GO FOR IT!....

That is a nice price on the 210. I was lucky enough to get one of the last 210s my local dealers had. Recall that the replacement for the 210, the 200CX is a few hundred dollars more and has more cast parts on it. I'm thrilled with the performance of my 210. It has done everything I've wanted it to and more. You will appreciate both the ease of operation and removal/installation.

Any pictures of your front bucket?
Similar to the commercial ones like you describe?

As far as I have been able to tell, the FEL is the most useful attachment that you can add to a tractor, next to the one you plant in the seat. Also, $1500 for a used one isn't bad either.
