Kubota L4310, Bolens-Isiki
Was shopping for a new or used cab 4wd tractor around 45 hp with a hydrostatic transmission.
Then the issue of pollution tiers came up.
Wow, some of those computer controlled re-burning rigs could mighty expensive to fix or even diagnose. Heard about Tier 3 and 4.
Gack!!! Like a cat coughing up a fur ball.
Any opinions, work arounds or even years to avoid or years to look for???

Don't know if you have any Branson dealers in your area, but that is the reason I bought mine. Nice to have an new tractor with out ECM failure concerns. So far, very happy with the Branson.

Slightly below your HP requirement, but absolutely do not consider a Kubota B3350 new or used.
My Kubota L4060 had been problem free for the past 400h, and the regeneration processes have been a total non issue.

The average residential tractor operates sixty engine hours per year, according to industry surveys.

3,000 hours DPF Life / 60 hours = 50 years of residential use prior to DPF replacement.

Diesel Particulate Filter supersedes tractor muffler.
After 30 to 50 years of residential use tractor DPF needs to be replaced.
At some point in time tractors with mufflers need the muffler replaced.

Tire wear and tire replacement will cause as many headaches and more expense than DPF for most long term compact tractor owners who comprehend their tractor's Operator's Manual and follow DPF procedures.

My Kubota L3560 had been problem free 0 - 1,750 hours. "Regeneration" has been a total non issue.

For what its worth I was told by two Kubota dealers to stay away from the 3350. We live in northern New York and they have had nothing but problems with the 3350 and regen in the cold. They advised to go with the B2650 as they have no issues with those and relatively the same tractor, just short a few HP.

MY local dealer gave the same advice. He would not even quote one. Wound up going with LS anyway.

To the OP, I was considered about the emission stuff too but in the end figured it was not a deal killer. I could not find complaints about it on the LS and I bought new so had a 6 year warranty. The price of used cabbed tractors did not make sense. My 4140 with oversized filled turfs, cab, HST, 3rd function and radio came in at $31k.

When I bought my Branson 4720CH pollution equipment was a major consideration. The Branson is much less of a risk in this area. It's soot burner is relatively problem free and is super easy to remove if it ever does cause a problem. On top of that, it is a very good tractor.

After shopping and thinking it over for the best part of a year, I bought an L4240HSTC in December of 2018. One of the main reasons for buying a tractor with 977 hours instead of a new one was the Tier IV concerns. Many owners report no problems with Tier IV's, but I preferred to avoid them.
