Shopping for 50-60HP tractor

Found a Massey 1190. Not sure of model year yet so don't know if it's an Isuzu engine or not. 1273 hrs. $8500. Anyone have one or have any experience with one??

No experience with one but tractordata says they were built from 1992-1999. Came with Isuzu 4JBL-T turbocharged 60 hp 4 cyl. Site specs were updated Nov.21st so should be pretty accurate. Price sounds good too. Does it have a loader?

That's awful low hours for a machine so old.

No, but it looks like a capable machine from the specs on it. If it has a loader and is in decent condition, it would be well worth that price.

That's what I thought Murph. But in my searches I found a 1972 Ford tractor with 1100 hrs. Some people just don't use their stuff much I guess. I haven't called on this tractor yet, but that would be my first question.

No loader. Not looking for a loader tractor. Would actually prefer one that's never had a loader on it. Wanting a medium sized CAT 1 tractor to do light 3pt chores. If I can buy one with 4wd in Massey red for the same price that I'd pay for a 2wd in popular colors I'm all over it.

I'll call the dealer that has it tomorrow and see what's up.

Richard, wouldn't this be more like at the top of the size category for a cat 1 3pt hitch tractor? I always think of 40hp machines as sort of being in the middle.

The lift arms may reverse on that size tractor from CAT 1 to 2. My 60 HP does

Yeah Brian, I think it is. According to tractor data it's the largest HP in that chassis model. I'm kind of a HP junkie so that fits me. What I really like about it is 16spd synchro shuttle, wet disc brakes and 4wd for the same money as a 20 year older 2wd, 6 or 8spd, drum brake in a more popular color. It must be in a time period when Massey wasn't selling much. It's the first one I've saw and broadening the search on fastline, didn't find any more. Thought maybe I'd get lucky and find an owner on here.

It's listed as CAT I, but in the one photo of the rear it looks like CAT II. But hard to tell in the pics.

I spend a lot of time in the timber so the 4wd excited me. It would also be used for a variety of 3pt tasks, brushcutting, blading, Box blading, etc., so the shuttle with 16spd also is appealing.
