Us serious mechanical types need to be acquainted with Surplus Center an advertiser and supporter of TBN. They have a myriad of stuff we are often looking for. If you get on their email distribution yo get their periodic new and bargain items. They have pages and pages of hydraulic cylinders and a large variety of hydraulic fittings, valves, and hoses. I have used them often. Only negative is they charge for shipping. Often their regular prices and bargains override that cost.

I get their hard copy catalogs, Ron. Shipping to Canada is a non starter......

I've used them for years. Should have stopped by there store when we passed through Lincoln. You can called them and ask questions and get actual answers.

I don’t mind so much that they charge for shipping. No shipping is truly free and it isn’t hard to add two numbers together to get a total cost. But my experience with them suggests it often takes more time than it should to pick, pack and ship items from point A to point B.

I would buy from them often, but have found paying full retail was cheaper for me due to their overpriced shipping rates. Many times estimated shipping was more then the part I wanted to order

Shipping IS WHY I don't sell parts.. Any savings I might get is completely lost on MY suppliers shipping practices..
I got 283.00 worth of orings.. the package would have fit in an envelope w. a stamp on it..
NOPE, I get it in a BIG MANILA Envelope w/ 25.00 added to the bill.!!
It doesn't matter if I order a "screw".. its 25.00 shipping..

I like Surplus Center ordered from them in the pre internet days. But shipping is the deal breaker these days. When the identical part is comparably priced then shipping cost is the deciding factor.

I have bought from them. But I do factor in shipping to determine if I want to make a purchase.

Its been a while since I had a project, that warranted ordering parts from them. Maybe they've bumped up there shipping cost since?

I'm a big fan of theirs. I became overwhelmed with everything that they have to offer when I added a grapple to by backhoe, so I called and talked to them over the phone. After a few minutes of explaining what I wanted, they figured out what I needed. I don't remember shipping being a factor in my decision to buy from them, it was just the place to get what I needed, and they where awesome to deal with.
