Prokop, surprised your even talking to the idiot. Welcome to Fauquier.

Might I suggest you open up with your loudest weapons too. And perhaps submitting something to our bone head zoning commission to limit discharges in residential areas unless properly backstopped.

I am sure it will change eventually. And no, I will not enter a pissing match with the neighbor:) - for anybody with a brain it is just too risky to shoot at our place. And imagine I was thinking and planning where to put my archery target to make sure it is safe to shoot compound bow - we have little bit less than four acres.

I thought you posted a PDF file just like any photo using the manage attachments gizmo. PDF files are listed as an option in the middle of the file selections.

Good plan, often it backfires (pun is intended) when you do that. Reminds me when we lived on a different acreage around 1982 we had our truck and camper parked next to our house, one day found a bullet hole  in the camper. Not far from us, maybe ¾ mile, there was a large hydro line, cleared about 300-400 ft wide. People used to go shooting down there lots. Some of those bullets can go a long way.

Does he have a proper backstop or is he just letting the round cross into someone elses property?

You might want to visit your state's statutes and look at the criminal code to see if there is a law on the books that would cover what he is doing. Having said that I cannot think of an law in NC that would cover his actions until he actually shoots AT or actually hits someone. A vandalism charge might apply if he is hitting trees.

The owner of the land he is shooting into might have to be involved.

Later,
Dan
