have any of the TYM owners here had an issue with shearing off bolts during operation? My 2014 TYM 603 has sheared off a couple of loader mounting bolts and now all but 1 rear frame mounting bolts- with the loader bolts- I drilled them and used an easy out, then replaced with grade 8 bolts, now I am having to repeat the process with the rear frame mounting bolts.

I almost feel like I need to replace every bolt that gets any real stress to prevent this from happening again. Hard to believe main mounting bolts are shearing off like that and leaving the broken piece inside the tractor frame.

None of mine have sheared yet. I have 100hrs on it...and I do a lot of of things I shouldn't. I did break the loader mount bolts loose and retorqued them at around 20 hrs....I was sorting out my loader side to side slop (see my post). It does seem that my frame easily twists when on uneven ground. I have been really wanting to beef it up with a subframe as a precaution.

I got them drilled out today and replaced with grade 8 with lock washers, put a reference mark on them to see if they start backing out.

Good idea. I should witness mark mine too.

Low Country,

I have a T503 with a little over 500 hours on it. I had one bolt on the underbelly back itself out but that is it. Never heard of problems such as yours. Sounds frustrating and you have my sympathies.

I have a 2007 T330. Mine sheared all of the bolts on the right side of the loader and a couplle on the left. Had to take it all the way down to the frame to easy out two of the bolts.

......grade 8 with lock washers
Lockwashers lower the strength to a gr5 connection, less when they break. Only time lockwashers are useful (never IMHO) is when the bolt comes loose and by then it's too late. Should be gr 8 bolts, gr 8 flats and Loctite.......Mike

Possibility the clearance holes are too big? Tightened to the correct torque? Tapped holes are not correct? I know the Jinma I had, the holes weren't tapped as deep as they could have been and the bolts were crap. Once I taped them as deep as I could, cleaned them out and used longer bolts, flats and Loctite, I never had a problem..........Mike
