Folks, I believe in sharing my experiences both good and bad. Hope this doesn't bore you. I live on 2.5 acres, with pasture and woods, and a 1/4 mile gravel drive. In March I bought my first tractor a B2920 with FEL, MMM, Landscape Rake and 6' Rear Blade. Like many I researched sometimes over researched what was the correct tractor for me. After much support from my new friends on TBN, and lot's of phone conversations with Brady at Barlow's I made what has come to be the right decision. I purchased my tractor from Barlow's.
I'm sure like many would that making such a large purchase over the phone, with a dealer I never met made me a little nervous even though Barlow's has great reviews, and Brady was very good at returning all my calls. Well, Donny delivered my tractor on time, Donny went over it with me and answered all my "newbie" questions, just as Brady said they would. After Donny left I noticed a loose height adjustment knob, called Brady, and he sent me the missing nut I needed the next day. Well, now comes the time to use my MMM, haven't used it since I got the tractor delivered. As I started the PTO to the mower, it doesn't turn. Again, my first thought was "Oh No" now what am I going to do with the dealer I purchased this from so far away. I called Brady on a Saturday, and left a message. Brady called me back as he always does, but to my amazement he tells me he's on vacation with his wife, and he decided to check his messages, WOW!
We spend sometime troubleshooting what the problem could be, and he reassured me not to worry he will take care of it. A few hours later his Dad called me to do additional troubleshooting. Well, it was decided that the mower deck gearbox must be the problem. Brady calls me back and said he will deliver a new MMM to me Wednesday. Talk about GREAT SERVICE!
Just a promised Barlow's shows up with the new MMM deck, and to my embarrassment they check the deck and fine a stone most likely from my driveway, caught between one of the blades and the deck. Now the deck starts right up works perfectly, and Barlow's heads back to their shop.
The moral of my story: If you are looking for GREAT advice, GREAT price, GREAT SERVICE, and Peace of Mind! Give Brady a call before making your next tractor and/or implement purchase.
