Serial Number on GC2300

I went to an Agro dealer today, and he couldn't find my serial number in his computer. It is NT-0329. He claims all Massey's start with the letter "J". The serial number is on a plate at my left heel. Any thoughts on why he couldn't find it? Anyone know what year my tractor is? I'm pretty certain it's a 2004, but my memory isn't the best. I tried ordering some parts for it despite the fact we couldn't find the appropriate serial number. Let's hope I get what I want

I believe 2005 is the first year.

The number your showing is not your serial number, keep looking.

There have been threads explaining serial numbers on GC's. Try using the search feature to find them.

Mystery solved?

"NT#### is 2004 production. s/n format changed at beginning of 2005".

The "J" numbers have been used since 2005.

So, the first generation numbers did start in NT. Now you need to explain this to the dealer. You would think they would know this, or their books would reflect this.
