Semi-permanent trailer camp site

I have a patch off land where I would like to put a camping trailer. I can easily run electric service to the spot. But connecting to a well and septic could be a bit more tricky. I would especially like to put in a septic system and hook the trailer to it so that I don't have to deal with the black water tank in the trailer. Have any of you tried a set up like this and what sort of problems have you experienced?

Biggest thing to check out is if your county will even allow such a thing. Quite a few no longer allow this.

Years ago I set up the utility side of the house as an RV hookup. The new heat pumps are not that noisy, and it faces on the garage. Wiring a trailer power hookup was simple, and water is available. There's no cell service here, but the cordless phone in the house will reach. We have had guests make use of the spot on and off for years. We just have to make sure they don't use our septic as a dump site, and show up with no chemicals in their tank, or they would poison our septic system.

I dug out a pit and put one of those 300 gallon totes in the hole with a bunch of 1” holes drilled in it with a spade bit. Surrounded it with cobble and hard plumbed it to the travel trailer. The camper sites have the transition piece to go from the travel trailer dump pipe to the 3” PVC. It has worked great. Not legal, these days, but it’s the same exact system that I have on my house built in the 1950’s that still works and is legal cause it was when it was built. Spring , summer and fall we visit every 2 weeks. So, it doesn’t get constant use.
