I have a 2006 L108 model with around 300 hrs on it.
The engine is blowing oil up dipstick so I think the bow off is bad or something worse, either way its gonna take considerable cash to address. I had it stall out and wouldnt start like it was too hot, I think its affecting fuel pump and it runs again when cool but any stress like long grass or leaf mulching send her into shut down. Upon inspection the deck is rotted out on one side so its time to scrap it. Other than service of all filters and fluids along with blade and grease maint it never once let me down still I think its died a premature death (ok its not dead but really in a bad way).
Long story short got a Cub Cadet SLT with 50in deck today so I want to know what is a respectable price to ask as a parts unit.
Like I said it runs, and will mow, still looks great, has upgraded mid high seat and front bumper but otherwise she is stock.
I was thinking a few hundered dollars is reasonable but wanted to know with those who have more experience think.
I hope the larger and perhaps stronger CC SLT I bought will be a better fit for my 1.75 property but I dont want the old taking up space in barn, I thought about fixing motor for use a trailor tower for wifes garden addiction but its best to probably let her go.
