BX2200 LOADER,60
I must sell my Bx2200, for both financial and storage reasons.I wanted to know if any one could give me a good idea what I should ask for it.My tractor is a 99 BX2200 with 167 hours,FEL,60 inch mmm,and a 40 inch box blade. It is in excellent shape and has been well maintained.I know in the future I will probably regret this but right now I have no choice .I just do not want to give this machine away because of my predicament.Any suggestions for price guidelines would be appreciated.

Duster,

Sorry to hear about your situation. Prices for equipment tends to be influenced locally ... you probably want to go to a couple of dealers in your area and ask them what they'd give you for your set-up - doesn't matter if they are Kubota or not - try them all. You'll need to do a few because some will low-ball you badly (time of year, grass-cutting is done, snow is not here yet ...). Add around 10 - 15% and see if you can sell it privately.

I regularly see Kubotas on eBay, so that might be another option for you. If all else fails - and you have financed the tractor - talk to your finance company before you do a fire-sale. They may be willing to strike a deal / reposess the tractor for more than you would get through a local farm auction or the like.

Duster:

Have you decided on an asking price? Where are you located?

Sorry to hear of your situation. Given the recent circumstances I hope that more of us do not have to do something similar.
This time of year is the worst I imagine for selling unless it is snow country and you have the blower attachements. I would think that Spring is a better time to sell. I have no idea what a BX used is worth on the market but yours sounds like it is brand new. You will have a problem in selling your BX or 7500 or 2410 etc for what they are worth because people who cruise the want adds are looking for CHEAP and are going to be influenced by old--worn out--Ford 8N etc. A dealer has better success selling them new because of his exposure and people who come in to a dearlership are not looking for cheap--they want relability and performance and a warranty. Maybe a dealer would take it on commision?? Worth a try maybe. Good luck. J
