Spreader Self loading spreader hard to find

I am looking for a self loading grit/sand spreader for 2 miles of icy road. Really like the tokvam tsa1500, but can't find one in US. Can any one point me to a US made or at least one that I can get in US. Tokvam as - snøfresere - strømaskiner - feiemaskiner

Would you be loading the grit/sand from a dry storage place ? Seems if the grit/sand or salt were available to a bin that one could back up to with a spreader, the same thing could be accomplished without the design of this finnish model. But would be interested in hearing more about the application.

You should see if they have a representative stateside as not even the Hardy ground drive drop spreader can do this for you.


I dont know if the tariffs, customs broker fees, sales taxes, and trucking/ shipping fee from the port of entry alone would be justified for this unit, but you should order it quickly and plan on a 6-9 week period between payment transfer in Euro and delivery.

The Hardy drop spreader will be lower and is ground driven to drop sand and salt and very basic in design with a tight canvas cover to keep out snow and rain.

you would be money ahead and problem free if you bought the trailer mounted pendulum spreader from VICON as you will not waste any material with the proper spout baffle where you can cast from one side for the entire width with no waste from overspreading with a spinner spreader.


a small diameter short grain auger will solve this for you but if you do not want to shovel you could fill it from an overhead bin fed by the grain auger
and use a skid loader to load the auger if you have one.
