Tractor
tc33d
i am new to the tractor but no stranger to the diesel engine. i have nothing for fuel coming out of what i believe to be the feed line that goes to the filter. i am under the understanding that this model tc33d is a gravity feed system?my first thought was a lift pump because i can blow through the line into the tank but when i blew into the tank nothing came threw the hose? any information on this would be greatly appreciated

Check to be sure tank vent isn't plugged.

The engine on your tractor has a blank plate where a lift pump would go if needed. Your tractor does not need one, so the hole is covered. It's just above your oil filter.

The parts diagram looks like there is a hose that goes directly from the top of the fuel filter to the tank and another that goes to the fuel injector pump on the filter outlet. As Tx Jim suggested, if you can blow back through the hose into the tank, then junk is clogging the tank outlet immediately as fuel starts to flow. I do not think there is any screen filter inside your tank, just a tap. It could easily be covered if there is enough foreign material in your tank.

Reminded me of a Farmall diesel that came into the dealership where I worked years ago ......... the tractor kept blowing the shaft seal on the injection pump and the guy had replaced it several times ....... when I blew out the return line from the pump to the tank a teaspoon or so of dead, diesel-pickled small bugs (knats, I think) was blown out ....... problem solved and the guy promised to use a strainer when refueling from then on. Anyway, this reply made me laugh

There's been quite a few tractors utilizing a Roosa-Master inj pump not run from a plugged fuel return line or fitting.
