I have a johndeeregt275 and the yellow warning light is now glowing. It started to occasionally glow faintly but would go out. Changing engine RPM made no difference. Now the battery is dead,but charging fixed that. Started enginee and turned on headlights which worked just fine. Need all suggestions.

Sounds like alternator diode went out (1 when just a glow) and now the rest have bit the dust. Take it off and take it to an alternator repair shop for testing and repair and you should be good to go.
I have the light glow on my Yanmar also at low RPM but goes out above an idle. So far the battery stays charged but I dont run any lights on it. I guess eventually I will have to do a repair.
