Secondary Backhoe Seat Vs. Swivel Seat.

Hi All,

What is the largest AG tractor that has a Swivel seat for the backhoe attachment? I think the 2nd seat backhoe attachments are ugly, redundant and not compact enough. The departure angle suffers greatly, and it just looks silly hanging back that far.

I suppose the Deere TLB 110 and Kubota TLB models have the swivel seat, but what about smaller models? Can we get a list going? I know the Kubota BX25d, and Deere 1023e/1025R have it as well. I like the new Branson 4015, and looking for a swivel seat backhoe setup on that size unit.

Buffalo ranch guy down the road had a pretty good sized [ 100 hp or so ??? ] New Holland tractor that he used for a big snowblower [ had, as in before his divorce ]. The cab was big 'nuff that the whole operator system, seat and steering wheel/etc., rotated so he could drive the vehicle forwards or backwards.. Don't know if they make a hoe for it, or even why I am bothering you with it, but it sure was NICE... !!!


It's called a Bidirectional .. and they have a hoe for it in the pictures... [ buy one and impress your neighbors.. ]

In general, I tend to agree with your points on swivel vs separate seats. But I would rather have separate seat than no backhoe!

Another scut with swivel seat is Massey GC2310 and current model GC1720 plus on these models 3 pt folds up and stays on tractor with BH mounted

Kubota cuts with swivel seats on recent B series: 2320, 2620, 2920, 3200, 3300 and current 2301, 2601, 2650, 3350

And all the real construction TLB's by Kubota: B26, L39, L45, and M59 which IMO, are the nicest setups.

The M59 looks like a great unit. The old L48 had the large 8 lug rear axle/wheel setup, but the newer L45 and L39 have a wimpy 6 Lug. I am curious to see what the new Kubota L47 has in store. Maybe that will be the "one".

Thanks for the list! I didn't realize that all the B series Kubotas had a flip/swivel seat!

He was messing around with a younger girl and got her pregnant. Cost him multiple hundreds of thousands, but he is back on his feet now, with more toys that he had before... Has some of his buffalo herd built back up, a bunch of horses, and has been going into beef cattle the last few years. I call the younger girl his cleaning lady, just to stir the pot... She sure is purty...
