I have been cursing the designers of the BX-23 for some time now. It seems they decided only children under 2 and gremlins should drive a BX.

the seat cover is neatly tucked into the moulded plastic shell with a bit ( not enough ) foam in between.

When any normal person sits on it, the air in the foam needs to escape.
The "design engineers" evidently did not think of this, so the seat cover blows itself out of the retaining trim. You can put it back but the next time you sit on it it will blow out again.

Did they catch up to this problem on the more recent models. If not you (we) need to drill holes in the seat to let the ( hot ) air out, hopefully somewhere that will not let the rain in when it's tilted.

Do a search on BX seat and point it towards the Kubota Owner/Operating section, theres a VERY long thread there dealing with the early model BX 00 & 30 series seats.
You'll garner beau-coup info on your BX23 over there.

Basically, if you have the OEM seat, you'll get no arguments that it sux...... Kubota came out with a redesign on the newer BX 50 series and the difference in design & comfort is like nite and day. The BX23 didn't qualify for the "free" upgrade but most Kubota dealers offered the same replacement seat for the early BX's for a very reduced price. List is something like $260.00

I got one and didn't realize how bad the OEM was until I got a new one.

As for the rest of the BX23, some may argue that it is the
best of the BX TLB series :D

My BX 23 seat is better than the BX1500 seats.

I've always thought my BX 23 set sat good.
I can tell the BX1500 seat don't feel quite as good.Wonder it a bx23 seat will fit a BX23?

My complaint is not the comfort of the seat. It could be better but......

The complaint is that it is a sealed almost air tight envelope and when you get on and bounce around you just have to blow the cover off the clamshell because it was never vented.

Anyway with the tips above I called the dealer and he is looking into it. He has some newer models and says the seats are a HUGE improvement over mine and will look into a "replacement" or shared cost program and get back to me.

Thanks for the tip. Isn't the web and forums a great help ?
