chach said:As a matter of fact i had my seatbelt fail on my ck20.went into a slow rollover situation a few weeks ago.i stayed on the tractor by hanging on to the fender grab bar. What prevented the rollover was that my rear blade happen to be off set and the edge dug into solid ground. My dealer tried same model and found that after locking belt it would loosen when he leaned left or right, exactly what would happen in a slow rollover.Kioti is aware of this and so is the ministry of agriculture here in Ontario who are investigating. So far they are awaiting test standards from the seat and seatbelt mfg. in Italy who supplies Kioti.
I hear that the standards may meet criteria.but the question maybe, does this particular system work on slow rollover,or is the testing as stringent as it should be.
saved by the blade not the belt

I know my seatbelt works good, everytime I get out to use the backhoe I forget it's on and just about split myself in two. This is the face I make -->![]()

Sandlot said:My CK seat belt is the self retracting style that buckles to the left side. I can see that if you are in a slow roll it could play out. It takes quite a fast pull to get it to lock. Of course, for me, because of my girth, that is about an inch!![]()
mbtractor said:Sandlot,
Yes, that is familiar. Sounds similar to how car seatbelts work (quick pull on the belt and it locks).
I would have thought somebody tested for slow rollovers.
Chach,
If your Ontario ministry is waiting for testing results from the Italian mfg for seats supplied to Kioti ,I would think that Kioti should have them on file in North Carolina. Why don't they supply the results? How long does it take to send the paperwork from Italy to Canada?
