As a matter of fact i had my seatbelt fail on my ck20.went into a slow rollover situation a few weeks ago.i stayed on the tractor by hanging on to the fender grab bar. What prevented the rollover was that my rear blade happen to be off set and the edge dug into solid ground. My dealer tried same model and found that after locking belt it would loosen when he leaned left or right, exactly what would happen in a slow rollover.Kioti is aware of this and so is the ministry of agriculture here in Ontario who are investigating. So far they are awaiting test standards from the seat and seatbelt mfg. in Italy who supplies Kioti.

I hear that the standards may meet criteria.but the question maybe, does this particular system work on slow rollover,or is the testing as stringent as it should be.

saved by the blade not the belt

Chach,

You sound like the guy from Ohio this happened to. Are you from there too? If not, I have heard of a very similar incident. You said you thought the standards might have met criteria - but I doubt that. Whether fast or slow rollover, the seatbelt should work. Any criteria it met would have not been to North American standards.

Curious to know if you had the seat belt on too loose maybe, or did you snug it up proper - some guys don't even wear them, I know I don't, but my wife does. Does your husband wear his?

Would anyone care to try their Kioti seatbelt? I wonder if other owners could try and duplicate the test Chach's dealer tried - moving left and right after putting on the seat belt.

I live in Canfield,Ontario.near the big town of Dunnville, near the mouth of the Grand river.

I sung the belt up till it killks and go about my business. This is my 21st tractor but first with seat belt and rops.
my wife wont even get on it until this issue is resolved,me ,i just stay on the flats.

any one with a ck20that has not the buckle of the belt in the middle of the waist for their own peace of mind have them check with their dealer or Kioti
that in fact they work or even better ask for the testing data

If my mind serves me I think you posted a pic of a 65 that you sold that rolled over. It was sitting next to a house and was lying at the bottom of a bank.

You are mistaken. I am not a Kuboto dealer. I own a tractor, and live in Manitoba, hence MBtractor. I never thought to check the name with any existing websites.

Sorry for the confusion.
