Seatbelt for Backhoe Seat ?

Hi...


Reading other posts re. ROPS and using a seat belt triggered this question...

Any of you have & use a seatbelt when using a backhoe on a tractor with ROPS ?

Also... wondering why there isn't any seatbelt there... seat up too high for ROPS to be effective ?

Would be tough to get off the tractor fast enough from the backhoe's seat in case of a rollover... like droppin' into a trench...

On most tractors with a 3ph or subframe backhoe, the ROPS will not protect you if you are sitting in the backhoe seat. If you were belted in you would have no chance to bail out, and would very likely get squashed.

The reason is that the backhoe is meant to be set up on the stabilizers and stationary when in use.
