A seatbelt without a ROPS has it's drawbacks as it eliminates any chance to jump clear in a rollover. A ROPS used without the seat belt being fastened is a waste, as one can easily fall clear of the seat and end up pinned or crushed by the ROPS. Even with a ROPS and fastened seat belt one can drive a tractor over a steep embankment and die. ROPS, seat belt, healthy dose of common sense and caution are about the best one can do.
